Rider’s rich history has emphasized
purposeful connections between academic
study and education for the professions -
creating meaningful linkages between the

With roots dating back to 1865, Rider is a
private, coeducational university located
on 280 beautiful acres on two campuses in
New Jersey - one in Lawrenceville and one
in Princeton, both within easy driving
distance to New York City and
Philadelphia.
The Rider
community is 5,790 students strong:
> 3,764 full-time undergraduate
> 822 part-time undergraduate
> 1,204 graduate students study on both
campuses
Rider is comprised of
four academic
colleges - the College of
Business Administration, the College of
Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences
(comprised of the School of Education and
the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences),
the College of Continuing Studies, and
Westminster Choir College - provide dynamic
undergraduate programs in more than 60
areas and graduate programs in 18
specialties. What you’ll get is an
opportunity to excel - to achieve academic
excellence and career success.
Westminster Choir
College, located in Princeton,
NJ, merged with Rider in 1992 and is an
integral part of the Rider community. It
is also the only college of its kind in
the world. Westminster's undergraduate and
graduate programs are led by world-class
music professionals and will prepare you
for music leadership careers as
performers, educators, conductors, and
choir directors.
In addition to academics, Rider offers
hundreds of activities, from intramural
sports to Division I NCAA men’s and
women’s athletics, from student government
to a wide variety of student clubs and
organizations, from internships to service
learning opportunities - all of which give
you opportunities to become involved,
enhance your educational experience, and
stretch your mind and imagination.
